Book One: Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis. This book was great for the point I was in, in my life. If you need a pick-me-up and some encouragement I would highly suggest this book! It's an easy read or you can listen to it as an audio book and Rachel reads it herself. If you want a fast read or a self-help book, this is a great one to dive into! Find it here.
Book Two: Girl, Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis. I read this book as an advanced reader copy and it was a wonderful follow up to Girl, wash your face. I feel the same about this book as I do the previous one and it's great as an encourager or a pick-me-up kind of book. It is also very easy to read or to listen too and Rachel reads the audio for the audio book on this one also. You can find both books here.

Book Three: The Lipstick Gospel by Stephanie May Wilson. I read this book as a free e-book on my phone. It would have been a quick, easy read but for some reason it took me a while to finish it. Stephanie delves into her life as a college students and explores her relationship with Jesus. She talks about heartbreak, traveling, love and healing. She's a great author and the book is very well written. I would highly suggest this book. Her stories are so compelling and I resonated with many of them a lot. This book also made me long to visit Europe and Spain. If you can, get your hands on this book! You can find this FREE book here.
Book four: Brave Love by Lisa Leonard. This book is beautiful! It made me cry and laugh. I also read this book as an advanced reader copy. Lisa talks about her trials and tribulations that she has been through as a woman, wife, mother, and designer. She has a special needs son who needs care 24/7 and she explains her struggles with dealing this that life change and the changes in her family. She talks about how she wanted to escape and she took time for herself, how she worked on her relationship with her husband, had another baby, and created a business! If this sounds like your cup of tea, I highly recommend this book and you can find it here.

Book Five: The Tuscan Child by Rhys Bowen. This book is about love and adventure, war, tradgedy and finding yourself. A young woman loses her father and comes home from college in London to collect his things. She finds a picture of a women from Italy that he has saved for many years and travels to Italy to figure out who she was and why he was there. She knew it must have been during the war but she wanted to find out more. The author paints a beautiful picture of the journey the woman takes and the journey her father took during the war. If you love traveling, love, and venturing into an era of wartime, you will love this book. It made me want to pack my bags and head for Italy immediately. The Tuscan Child is one of my all time favorite books! You can find this book here.

Book Six: Something in the Water by Catherine Steadman. If you like psychological thrillers, you will love this book! I listened to this book as an audio book and Catherine reads it herself. She does an amazing drop writing and giving life-like descriptions of each scene and each task the characters are facing in this book. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and could not put it down. You get a little bit of everything in this book, love, betrayal, mistrust, excitement, sadness, happiness, confusion and the list goes on an on. For some reason, I feel like I would enjoy this book as an audio book more than the physical book because Catherine does such an amazing job reading and articulating how each character is feeling and what exactly is going on during each scene. If you're interested check out the book here.

Book Seven: Look Me in the Eye My Life with Asperger's by John Elder Robison. This book is amazing and honestly kind of educational. It's a memoir about John Elder Robison and the life he lived with Asperger's (Autism Spectrum Disorder). Despite the all the obstacles he had to face throughout his life, John found love and had children and many differnt careers and became very successful. You learn about what it's like navigating relationships, school, working, and trying to understand people through John's lens. It's very eye opening and intruiging. I believe any type of reader would love a book like this. There is happiness, sadness, rock and roll, cars, love, children, family and relationships all in one book. For most people I think it would be an easy read. You can find it here if you're interested.
Those are all the book's I'm going to talk about for now but I will have the other books I read in 2019 and links to them below. Let me know if you read any of them and what your thoughts are! Thanks for reading along! I appreciate it!
