Never been to Nashville? Ever wanted to go? It's so much fun!!
A few years ago for Christmas, my fiance and I decided to do trips for gifts instead of a bunch of little things. So, we went to Nashville!
What To Do in Nashville, TN
We went for a long weekend. We staying at the Sheraton Music City Hotel. We drove up on a Friday morning, checked in and got ready to go exploring. We found an amazing place to eat dinner called, Mojo's Grill. The BBQ was so good and so was the atmosphere. We walked around downtown to explore and listen to music and then got ready to go back to the hotel since it was a long day.
Saturday morning we woke up and got ready to go to the Country Music Hall of Fame. We booked a tour for that morning and it was so fun! We got to walk around and see all the famous artifacts from country music history and learn about different country music artists. We also got to go to RCA Studio B, where Elvis Presley recorded some of his music. It was so cool to see where so many famous country music artists have written and recording legendary music! The picture at the top is of me and Cason sitting on the same bench Elvis, Dolly Parton and Carrie Underwood have all sat to play and record music. To the right, is the piano that Elvis Presley recorded his gospel album. It was an amazing experience and if you are in Nashville I would highly suggest doing the Country Music Hall of Fame tour and the tour of the RCA Studio B.
To the left is a picture of Elvis Presley's gold piano he special ordered and owned. There was so much history in this museum it's hard to describe in one blog post. Be sure that if you go to stop and read some of the plaques and posts to learn more about the artifacts in that are on display. There's so much to take in!
After the tour we found a cute little place to eat called Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint and it was AMAZING! The BBQ was amazing. The environment and atmosphere was so fun and if you get the chance to go here and they have strawberry cake... GET IT! It's so delicious and melt in your mouth good! It's a little hole in the wall right outside of the hustle and bustle of Nashville and was the perfect place to eat after the tour.
After lunch we headed back to the hotel to rest before we got ready to go out to explore more of Nashville. There are so many cute shops and places to see. Most people only know of downtown Nashville but there are so many more places. For instance if you're looking for a great coffee place go to The Frothy Monkey. It may be packed but for good reason, the coffee is amazing!! If you want to do a little shopping there are so many cute shops down on 12th Avenue, like Draper James for instance. This is a clothing boutique that Reese Witherspoon owns and the clothes are so cute, southern and classy! You can't leave without out a "What Would Dolly Do" tote bag!
Later that night when we got ready for dinner we went back to the same place as the first night, Mojo's Grill. The food was so good and we didn't feel like searching for a new place so we settled on this one again and it didn't disappoint. That's how you know it was good!
On Sunday we packed up and headed home! But on our way home we stopped and the cutest brunch place called The Sutler Saloon. It's outside of Nashville and if you like southern food or breakfast, this is the place for you! We both ordered the Southern Fried Chicken Biscuit with Gravy and have dreamed of it ever since that day! It was wonderful and such an indulgent comfort food. I wouldn't have had it any other way. It's in the picture to the right. This place also does live music on certain nights and has an amazing menu to choose from. There's also a little gift shop if you want to pick up souvenirs and the atmosphere is so cute and fun! I am still waiting to go back here!
