On Saturday this past month Cason and I decided to drive out to Cave Spring, Ga to check out a few of their antique shops and a little coffee shop that was there. I have been wanting to visit these stores for a while and we finally decided to venture out there.
There are a few antique stores on the square right in downtown Cave Springs. We went into most of the stores if they were open and wandered around throughout each store looking for really cool vintage pieces like milk glass, old books, hats, jewelry, and so much more. To the left, is a picture of the inside of one of the stores. There were isles of different types of glass. I collect vintage milk glass so obviously I took a picture of that isle.
To the right, is a picture of some of the vintage blue glassware this store had. The color ranges were amazing and it's so interesting to me how popular each color of glassware was throughout history. The history behind the colored glass is also so interesting to me.
I only purchased on thing in Christina's and it was a silver and pearl broach. It's so feminine and cute and I love it!
Some of the stores in Cave Springs are:
We had the privilege of going into most of these stores, although there were a few that were closed. The pictures above are pictures from Christina's. The store was so cute and had tons of antique and vintage items.
This boggin' came from Peddler. It was only $10 and the inside is so soft. The quality of this boggin' is amazing and the price was amazing. The owners and staff of the store were also super sweet. There aren't many vintage pieces in this store but it's a small home decor boutique and it's adorable. They have all sorts of home decor for people with all different interests and they even sell baked goods and candy! I got the boggin' pictured and two green ceramic bowls. Cason got two coasters and two ornaments for our tree next year. It was a really cute store.
We also went by this adorable little coffee shop called Spring Brew Coffee Company and they had a small little antique shop in the back. The coffee was so good too! I love trying new coffee shops and I absolutely love a good cup of coffee!
They were having a huge sale on their antiques so I took advantage of this opportunity and bought some milk glass they had on sale. Below are more of the pictures from our shopping adventure.
We made it into about 4 stores and the coffee shop. It was such a good experience and I highly recommend going to Cave Springs, Ga if you love small towns, antique shopping, good coffee and trying new things.
One thing I would like to do next time we go to Cave Springs is check out some of their restaurants. There is a steak house and a BBQ place that look wonderful. I would also love to visit their park and see some of the historic sites in town. I love history and small towns and great food so anytime I get the opportunity to see and do those things I try to take it all in!
I hope you've enjoyed this post and I hope you get the chance to visit Cave Springs! If you do, definitely let me know! I would love to know what antiques you've found!
