We headed out early Saturday Morning to get to Taylors, SC for Vintage Pickin'. I have been looking forward to going again since last year when we took out first trip to Fyffe, AL. I brought along my very best vintage and antique shopping buddy, my Fiance, Cason. I am so glad he loves doing this kind of stuff with me, plus he enjoys finding things too!

Once we got to the venue, The Southern Bleachery, I immediately went to Fruit Tea Chicks. This is the BEST fruit tea and I am so glad they were at VP again this year. I made sure to get a gallon and a T-shirt before I left because they are not local to me. Then we started shopping the two vendors that were located outside, Ruffles & Overalls and Garmontiques. They both had some really awesome finds. I purchased to precious hair ties that had handkerchiefs as bows, a vintage bookmark made out of an old hymn book, and a set of vintage prints of birds from the 1940s from Ruffles & Overalls. Cason found a really cool antique cigar sign that I think will look really cool in our kitchen or back patio.
Then we started out journey through each bay. One of my first finds was rustic flower market sign that was a faded white and vintage blue color and was so chippy and cute from Blue Sage. I will be using this outside on our patio for my garden. I think it will be the perfect place for it!
I also finally got to meet April, the curator of the Vintage Pickin' event. She was so awesome, sweet and down to earth. The perfect host for this event and she does an amazing job. You can find her at @Vintagepickin on Instagram.

There were so many amazing vendors and the venue was so nice. We made our way through the first two bays of vendors and took a break to get some lunch from one of the three food trucks that were at the event. We opted for tacos and nachos from Tacos & Bla Bla Bla food truck and of course more fruit tea from Fruit Tea Chicks. There was a perfect little seating area to sit and eat your food and it wasn't crowded at all. The weather was also perfect and the environment was great. There was a play place for kids and a big open grassy area for people to hang out.

We made it through the last two bays and ended out trip to The Southern Bleachery with some homemade cookies from Taylors Main Baking Co. Cason got the chocolate chunk espresso cookies with sea salt and I got a bouquet of her sugar cookies decorated as flowers and the perennial which are rosemary, sage and orange flavored. All of the cookies were so amazing! When we were done we hopped on the bus to take us back to our car and loaded up.
Before we left Taylors, SC we stopped at another little antique store right down the road called The Main Collective, it was cute but definitely not as amazing as VP in my opinion, but a great choice if you're local to Taylors.
We also headed into Greenville, SC and stopped at another shop called Vintage Now Modern and it wasn't what we expected. There wasn't a lot of vintage items and it was a higher dollar store. But, there was a small event happening in the parking lot and that is where I found Twisted Stems. I created my own bouquet for $15 and when I got home I put the two bouquets together in a large mason jar and they are beautiful.

If you ever get the chance to go to one of April's Vintage Pickin' events, GO! Tickets are ALWAYS affordable and she runs deals during certain parts of the year for upcoming events. She usually has 2-3 events per year, one in SC and 1-2 in AL. They are both amazing and some of the vendors change and some stay the same but there is always new (old) stuff to find at every event. No one event is exactly alike, and that's what makes it so fun to go!
If you want to check out more information about the Vintage Pickin' events you can check it out here. I highly recommend going if this is something up your alley.
I hope you enjoyed reading about VP and I hope you get the chance to go. If you do let me know and leave a comment.
