Hey everyone!

I am Bethany Bishop, soon to be Mrs. Williamson in September! I am a studying to be a Professional School Counselor and I own a small company called Nestled Living. I am engaged to be married in September of this year (2020) to my best friend, Cason Williamson. We are in the process of wedding planning, building a house and trying to finish graduate school.

I wanted to create a welcome post first to talk a little bit about why I started a blog (again). In years past I have started 2 or 3 blogs. One was called Beauty with Bethany and another was called a Thyme a Dozen. The first one, as you probably guessed, was about beauty and fashion and the second was going to be about food. I published many blog articles on Beauty with Bethany but that slowly started to fade away as I was finishing up my undergraduate degree. Then, when I got into graduate school I thought it would be a good idea to start a cooking blog. That blog lasted all of two seconds because I was so busy with school and I had other priorities. Then in December of 2018 I started an Etsy shop called Nestled Living.

Nestled Living was originally meant to be a small business where I made crafts and sold them on Etsy. It was really fun for a while but then it because way less fun and the passion for making and selling crafts soon died out. My love for crafts still burns but I think the selling and promoting of them took the fun out of it for me. So, I closed up shop and gave away my crafts as gifts to family and friends. That was a lot more life giving.

Throughout this time I really prayed to God and started focusing on what HE wanted me to do with my life. So, I stepped back and let God take control and I listened to Him.

First, He wanted me to finish the biggest and hardest semester of my graduate program, Fall 2019. I had prayed for my career my entire life and especially through college and He gave me my path. It was up to me to finish and follow through. I still have this semester left (Spring 2020) and then I graduate in May. Praise the Lord. Seriously.

Second, he needed me to spend time with my family and friends this past holiday season and needed me to learn a few lessons first. I prayed for Nestled Living and what it would be and look like and I thought that was starting a podcast, RIGHT AWAY. But, then God spoke to me and told me to slow down and be patient for He has something else in store for me. That would be an online women's Bible study. I have prayed for a women's Bible study for as long as I could remember. I lead some in college and I was part of them growing up. For three years I tried to figure out a way to start it and finally, one day, God gave me the idea of an online version. So, to Facebook I went and started the very first Nestled Living Online Women's Bible Study.

So, for now I am focused on finishing school, planning a wedding, building a house, and my Women's Bible study. It may sound like a lot, and it is, but they are all huge blessings and all things that I have prayed for my entire life. God's got it all under control and that takes a lot of stress off of me.

This blog is part of the Nestled Living growth. I will be posting about many different topics but only if they are blessings from God. This is His platform that He's allowed me to use, and these are His topics that he has blessed me with the knowledge of talking about. So, I hope you enjoy and always know, this will always be a safe place! There is no judgement and we welcome differences and diversity!

Thank you for joining in, I hope you enjoy!

Love,

Bethany
