On January 21st I started an online Facebook group for a women's Bible study! We quickly jumped to 92 members and have had three meetings so far. Right now we are using the Present Over Perfect book, video series and study guide to lead us in our lessons. If you are interested in these items you can find them here. So far, we have dived into the first three sessions and will have our fourth session on Tuesday February 11th. It's a live video session where I discuss the topics and questions asked in the study guide and the listeners tune in and comment on the questions. I love that it's a live video in the group because even after the live is over the video stays in the group so members who aren't able to tune in at the same time can watch it later and still comment on the video.
The first session topic is pain points, where we discuss what parts of our life are causing us the most pain and hindering us from forming a unique and personal relationship with Jesus.
The second topic was The Roles We Play, where we discussed the roles people have given us throughout our life or the roles we have voluntarily stepped in that may not be life giving to us anymore.
The third sessions topic is Yes and No, where we discuss the importance of saying yes to certain things and no to certain things. We are learning to prioritize the important things in our life and focusing on the relationships God has for us.
This is just the beginning of the study and we have only been meeting for about 3 weeks. We are just getting started and I can't wait to see where God leads this group of women.
In the Facebook group, I try to keep things interesting. I have posted "Get to know me" posts where members can engage with each other and it's a place for us to grow in community with each other. I have release my first Nestled Living Newsletter also and plan to do that at the end of every month so members can stay up to date on activities, studies and so we can share news with each other. I have given book and podcast recommendations and plan on posting activities for Galentine's day, National Send a letter to a friend day, holidays like Easter and so much more.
My Goal is for this to be a safe place, a community where women can come together and learn about themselves and Jesus. Where we can love and support each other and the community God has put us in! So if you're interested and want to join please do so, here! We would love to have you!
